FRENCH LISTENING COMPREHENSION:

Jacques et Noémie arrivent à l'aéroport Charles de Gaulle lundi à 9 heures du matin. Ils prennent un taxi pour se rendre à leur hôtel situé dans le centre de Paris, où ils ont réservé une chambre avec vue sur la Tour Eiffel. Après s'être rafraîchis, ils font une promenade le long de la Seine, puis ils s'arrêtent pour déjeuner dans un bistro parisien typique.
Part 1: Arrival in Paris
Jacques and Noémie arrive at Charles de Gaulle Airport on Monday at 9 a.m. They take a taxi to their hotel located in the center of Paris, where they have booked a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. After freshening up, they take a walk along the Seine, then stop for lunch in a typical Parisian bistro.

Le mardi, Jacques et Noémie visitent le Louvre où ils découvrent le sourire célèbre de la Joconde. Ensuite, ils se dirigent vers Notre-Dame, et achètent des souvenirs dans une petite boutique à proximité. Pour se déplacer, ils utilisent Google Maps sur leur smartphone. Plus tard, dans un café, ils discutent avec le serveur qui leur donne des conseils de visite.
Part 2: Exploring the City
On Tuesday, Jacques and Noémie visit the Louvre where they discover the famous smile of the Mona Lisa. Then, they head towards Notre-Dame, and buy souvenirs in a small shop nearby. To get around, they use Google Maps on their smartphone. Later, in a café, they talk with a server who gives them sightseeing tips.

Le mercredi, Jacques et Noémie visitent le musée d'Orsay et passent quelques heures à admirer les œuvres d’art. Pour le dîner, ils goûtent aux escargots pour la première fois et sont agréablement surpris. Après le dîner, ils assistent à un spectacle de cabaret au Moulin Rouge. Fatigués mais satisfaits, ils rentrent à l’hôtel.
Part 3: Museum and Cabaret
On Wednesday, Jacques and Noémie visit the Musée d'Orsay and spend a few hours admiring the artworks. For dinner, they try escargots for the first time and are pleasantly surprised. After dinner, they attend a cabaret show at the Moulin Rouge. Tired but satisfied, they return to the hotel.

Le jeudi, Jacques et Noémie font une excursion d'une journée à Versailles. Ils prennent le RER (train régional) depuis Paris jusqu'à Versailles. Dans la matinée, ils visitent le château et admirent son architecture impressionnante. L’après-midi, ils louent des vélos pour explorer les jardins grandioses, imaginant la vie à l'époque du roi Louis XIV.
Part 4: Excursion to Versailles
On Thursday, Jacques and Noémie take a day trip to Versailles. They take the RER (regional train) from Paris to Versailles. In the morning, they visit the palace and admire its impressive architecture. In the afternoon, they rent bicycles to explore the grand gardens, imagining life during the era of King Louis XIV.

Le vendredi, Jacques et Noémie passent leur dernière matinée à flâner dans le quartier de Montmartre. Ils admirent la basilique du Sacré-Cœur, située sur la colline, et achètent ensuite des macarons et du fromage pour ramener chez eux. Leur vol est prévu pour 16 heures. Tristes de quitter Paris, ils se promettent de revenir bientôt.
Part 5: Last Day in Paris
On Friday, Jacques and Noémie spend their last morning strolling through the Montmartre district. They admire the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, located on the hill, and then buy macarons and cheese to take home. Their flight is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sad to leave Paris, they promise to return soon.
